Qualified • Fully Insured • Established 2004 • Local & Experienced
With expertise in tree surgery, hedge maintenance and stump grinding, Scotton Tree Care helps homeowners and landowners across Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding North Yorkshire villages maintain safe, attractive outdoor spaces. Our qualified team combines formal training in urban forestry with practical experience gained since establishing the business in 2004.
From tree pruning and removal to overgrown hedge cutting and stump grinding, we approach every job with care and attention to detail. As a fully insured local business, we pride ourselves on reliable service, straightforward advice and lasting customer relationships. Much of our work comes through recommendations and returning customers, reflecting the trust we have built within our local community.
We attended Askham Bryan College York and qualified with a NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN URBAN FORESTRY. It was a 3-year course. The 1st year was at college, 2nd year work placement and 3rd back to college. We worked for different companies for the following year, to get the experience we needed to start our own business. In June 2004 we set up Scotton Tree Care.
We have been building our business ever since and have gradually bought the tools and equipment needed to carry out all aspects of tree and hedge work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. We are fully insured and are licensed with the Environmental Agency to carry and dispose of garden waste legally. Each year we have had more work than the last. A number of customers ask us to return to do work on a yearly basis.
We have built up a good local reputation, concentrating on business in Harrogate, Knaresborough, and surrounding villages. We prefer to be local as the traveling time is less which means we can offer a more reliable, cost-effective service. We have had a lot of praise from our customers which means they are happy to recommend us to their friends and families. We find word of mouth is our best form of advertising.
